Fees and Insurance
Session fee
Counseling sessions are 60 minutes and cost $165.
Sliding scale
For self-pay clients, a sliding scale runs from $165 down to $100 per session, by agreement. Ask about it when you book.
Insurance
I am in network with Premera, United Healthcare, Regence, LifeWise, First Choice, and Kaiser PPO, and with the Apple Health (Medicaid) plans Molina and United Healthcare Community Plan. My billing service submits claims to your plan for you.
Please check your mental health benefits with your plan before your first session: your copay or coinsurance, your deductible, and any limit on visits.
For out-of-network care, I provide a superbill on request. You can submit it to your plan for possible reimbursement.
Billing
My billing service keeps your card on file in its secure payment system.
- Insurance clients: your copay, coinsurance, or deductible is charged after your plan processes the claim.
- Self-pay clients: your card is charged weekly for that week's sessions.
- Billing errors are refunded by my billing service.
- There are no late-payment fees.
Cancellations
Please give at least 24 hours' notice when you need to cancel. A session missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice costs $75. Insurance does not pay this fee. Each year, one late cancellation or missed session is free, for any reason. There is no charge for absences arranged in advance, illness, medical emergencies, or dangerous weather.
Other services
- Letters written with you during a session are included in the session fee.
- Court appearances carry no charge.
- Copies of records: a reasonable, cost-based fee may apply, as the law allows.
Good Faith Estimate
When you do not have health insurance, or do not use it, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate of what your care will cost. You receive one when you schedule, and you can ask for one at any time. Good Faith Estimate form · Learn more at www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
